Trudy Mae Brian Scott, 75, passed away June 7, 2023, at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.
Trudy was born November 29, 1947, to Lyle and Shirley (Vance) Headlee in Carroll, Iowa. She graduated from Lake City High School. After graduation, Trudy attended the University of California –Berkeley. She retired from CDS Global.
Trudy married Norman Scott in the 90s. Her interests included fishing, karaoke, and dancing. She enjoyed traveling in her early years and liked watching television. She was an avid Kansas City Chief and Iowa State Cyclones fan.
Trudy moved back to Iowa and worked for the State of Iowa for five years. After Norman’s death, Trudy met her companion, Robert, in 2002, and they have been together ever since.
Trudy is survived by her partner, Robert Piggee; stepson, Russell Scott; sisters, Pamela Polke and Vanessa Johnson; step-grandchildren, Makenna and Raelynn; two nieces, three nephews, and other loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Scott; stepson, Randy Scott; brother, Leonard Headlee; and her nephew, Kevin Headlee.
The family will greet friends Tuesday, June 13, 2023, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.

I loved Trudy!! She was always positive no matter what difficult circumstances- and we know she had plenty of those!! Rest in paradise, Trudy, knowing that you have left a legacy of love and support for all of us!! 💕💕💕

Robert and family, Trudy was a wonderful, fun-loving, giggly classmate of mine. I missed seeing her at our last reunion. You are all in my prayers for comfort at this difficult time. May all the wonderful memories carry you through the days ahead.
