Phong Phothasone

Phong Phothasone, age 95, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at Pine Acres in West Des Moines while under the care of UnityPoint Hospice.

Phong was born October 15, 1927, in Laos.

She was famous for her knitting and would make incredible sweaters or other goods without even looking down at her hands for family and friends. Phong enjoyed spending time with friends and tending her garden.

She is survived by her sons, Tom Kongsy Phothasone and Lamphone Phothasone.

Phong was preceded in death by her husband, Kongmy Phothasone.

Cremation will occur and there will be no services held at this time.
