Service Details

Timothy “Tim” Neugent, the “King of Joy,” 73, passed away on May 31, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at UnityPoint Taylor House Hospice. He’s now celebrating a life well-lived in Heaven and drinking his favorite beer, Pabst Blue Ribbon, and an Old Fashioned.

An Army Veteran, Tim was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and earned an MBA from Purdue University. He had many incredible ventures from sales to president and business-owner. Most recently, he was involved in the ISU Startup Factory and Drake Entrepreneurship Program, in which he has a yearly award named after him that represents the highest achievement in purpose-driven entrepreneurship. In 1997, he was also awarded Entrepreneur of the Year.

His greatest venture, however, was being with his family and friends, especially at his family cabin, aka “Happy Place”, in the Northwoods of Minocqua, Wisconsin. An avid sports fan, Tim enjoyed cheering and “coaching” the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers.

He was preceded in death by his parents Dave and Marie; parents-in-law Einard and Cecelia Davidson; brother, Dennis; sisters-in-law, Geraldine Neugent and Patricia Davidson; brothers-in-law, Ronald Davidson and Leroy Kohnlein.
