Robert Harrison, 70, passed away on May 31, 2023, at University Park in Des Moines. He was born in Wichita, NC on May 24, 1953 to James and Selma (Foster) Harrison.

Robert met his future wife, Hildegard, in 1972 and they married October 8, 1976. He joined the Army around that same time and moved to Europe (Germany), he was promoted to Sergeant and was later honorably discharged. After being discharged he worked as a civilian semi-truck driver instructor. In 1991 they moved back to the United States as a family. Robert was an avid pool player, he was always fixing things. He enjoyed watching old karate movies and was always on the move.

Robert is survived by his wife, Hildegard; children, Vivian (Kyle) Neal and Paul (Vanly) Harrison; grandchildren, Ashley Rosarion and Viktoria Harrison; siblings, JoAnn Harrison, Marth Harrison, Sally Harrison, Judy Harrison, Micky Harrison and Jerry Harrison and his mother, Selma Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his dad, James Harrison; siblings, Jr. Harrison, Barbara Ann Harrison, Joyce Harrison and Delores Harrison.
