Betty Jeanne Warner, 103, passed away on May 20, 2023 at Genesis Senior Living Center.
Betty was born November 27, 1919 in Guthrie County, Victory Township, Iowa to William and Gladys (Hanyan) Kasner. She had moved to the Des Moines area in 1963. Betty enjoyed traveling, camping, cooking and crafting, especially crocheting. She will be remembered for her kind and giving heart, love of a flowers and animals.
Betty is survived by her children, Mark (Sheila) Warner, Suzanne (Richard) Gambler, Janet Michael, Jackie (David) Norby and Julie (Ray) Boynton; sister, Delores Schmidt; 13 grandchildren; 75 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Floyd Warner; siblings, Hanyan Kasner and MaryJohn Wall; and her granddaughter, Lisa Michael.
The family will greet friends Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 11 am to 12 pm with the funeral service to follow at 12 pm at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Betty will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Panora, Iowa.

I will always remember Betty as someone never afraid to speak her mind.
She had many stories about growing up, her family & raising her children. I recall that she loved gardening, her banana nut cookies, her turkey & wild rice soup & most of all her generosity & quick wit. Thank you for the memories Betty. You will forever be in my heart.
