Sandra Doornenbal

Sandra (Cooper) Doornenbal passed away peacefully May 11, 2023, at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Sandra was born on January 20, 1957, in Des Moines to parents Donna Hershey and Harold Cooper.

She attended East High School. She married her high school sweetheart Mark on February 7, 1975. They were married to each other for 48 years and had two daughters, Dawn and Jennifer.

Sandra worked and retired from R.R. Donnelly.

Sandra loved spending time with her family and friends (especially the holidays), cooking, growing her herb garden, and going to Prairie Meadows.

Sandra is survived by her husband Mark, daughters Dawn (Andrew) Markun and Jennifer Edwards, grandchildren Hadleigh and Logan Markun, and Lily Easley, brothers Jeff (Nadine) Cooper and Todd (Lynn) Cooper, and her pug Pete.

She was preceded in death by her parents Donna and Harold, and her brother Michael.
