Dick Simpson was one of the finest people I have ever met.
An one time he was my Sunday School teacher, church youth group leader at Union Park Presbyterian Church, my physics teacher and advisor at Grand View College, and his dad owned the grocery store around the corner on East 9th Street.
Dick was an exceptional person and I am so sorry to learn of his passing.
May he rest in peace and may God bless him and his family.
Sincerely,
Robert W. Robinson

Dear Karen and Family - I was so sad to learn of Dick's passing. You
both were such great friends to Mom and Dad!! They thought the world of you and all your family
(in addition to all their UPPC family). May God hold you especially close on this difficult journey of sorrow. Prayers for comfort and peace for each of you. Blessings and love from our family to yours.

I had the honor and privilege of having Mr. Simpson as a math and physics teacher, both at Indianola High School and later at Grand View Junior College. He was the finest teacher I ever had, and was the inspiration for me choosing to become an engineer. R.I.P., Mr. Simpson.
