Elaine Westvold

Elaine Lois Westvold, age 95, passed away peacefully at Taylor House Hospice surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 11, 2023.

Elaine was born January 28, 1928, in Fargo, North Dakota to Emmett Clark and Ida (Veach) Dahle. She was a graduate of East High School in Des Moines. She retired from Continental Western Insurance.

She is survived by her daughters, Jana Williams, Deborah Westvold, and Deanna Davis; grandchildren, Michele (Steve), Douglas (Amy), Kevin (Stacey), David (Tamara), and Brandon; seven great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Debbie Westvold of Granbury, TX; and sister-in-law, Agnes Eeg of Florence, AZ.

Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Westvold; son, Bob; and sisters, Doris and Helen.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Grace Lutheran Church, 5201 Urbandale Avenue, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Resthaven Cemetery, West Des Moines after the services, and will be followed by a luncheon at the church.
