Ann R. Graziano Costanzo

Ann R. Graziano Costanzo, 101 years old, passed away on May 5, 2023, at Scottish Rite Park surrounded by her loving children.

Ann was born to Frank and Immaculata (Foggia) Graziano on March 27, 1922. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1940. While her brothers were serving in the military, she worked at the family grocery store, Graziano Brothers, founded by her father and uncle. Ann married Angelo Costanzo on October 20, 1946. After raising her family, she returned to work as a volunteer at Mercy Hospital Gift Shop and at Younkers Tea Room as a hostess. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church, the Altar & Rosary Society, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Italian American Women of Iowa. She enjoyed playing bingo every week. Ann was a wonderful cook and baker.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Angelo Costanzo; son-in-law, Sam Leto; and daughter-in-law, Susan Costanzo. She is survived her children, Tom Costanzo, Joyce Leto, Mike (Mary) Costanzo and Joe (Ginger) Costanzo; 11 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The family will greet friends on Thursday, May 11, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 12, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anthony Church, 15 Indianola Avenue followed by burial at Glendale Cemetery.
