Marvin Burdette Brown Sr.

Marvin Burdette Brown Sr., 83, passed away on May 3, 2023 at his home in Des Moines He was born in Boone, IA on June 18,1939, son of Orval and Isabell Brown.

Brownie, as most everyone knew him as. He was a master fisherman who loved sharing what he caught at fish fries with family and friends. Brownie was known to be a tough man with a soft side for the ladies. He had a good sense of humor and loved sharing a drink or two at his favorite east side bar. Brownie retired from Master Pools in 1989

Brownie is survived by his daughter, Nikki Beery; son, Marvin (Missy) Brown Jr.; grandkids, Kylie (Alex Harper) Drummond, Kourtnie Sawatzky, Autumn Brown, Lacey (Ian) Bruns and Micky West; great grandchildren, Konner, Adalynn, Madden, Riliey, Zaydeighn, Emberly and Holsten; brother, Dean (Doe) Brown; special son, Randy (Laura) Keasey; special friend and caretaker, Erika Johnson. Along with a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Brown; siblings, Donald Brown, Bonnie Swain and Patty Brown and the mother of his children, Barbara Gomez.

Brownie will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
