LaVonne Spencer

LaVonne Aletha Spencer, 63, passed away on April 17, 2023 in Altoona. She was born in Des Moines on February 6, 1960 to Gerald and Vivian (Tosten) Naber.

LaVonne was a member of Pleasant Hill Free Church. She enjoyed gardening and taking photos. She cherished her family.

LaVonne is survived by her husband of 25 years, Tom; children, Brandon (Andrea) Buckalew, Andrea (Ben) Jantz, Valerie (Josh) Reutzel, David (Courtney) Spencer, Lisa (Brian) Radtke, William (Samantha) Spencer and Joshua Spencer; 16 grandchildren; sisters, Louise (David) Piziali and Luann (Lyle) Granzow and brother-in-law, Micheal Smothers. Along with a host of extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Linda Smothers and infant brother, Gary Naber.

Family will greet guests on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Free Church, 4555 Parkridge Ave., Pleasant Hill, IA. Funeral services will be on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the church.
