Marcia Elaine Murrow (German) passed away suddenly April 6, 2023 at home in Osage Beach Missouri after dealing with health issues during the year.

She was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on December 27, 1950 to John and Jean German, living in Clarion, Iowa. Following high school graduation, she attended secretarial school.

Marcia married Dennis (Denny) Murrow on September 13, 1986 at Staves United Methodist Church in Des Moines Iowa. They were married for 31 years.

Marcia was employed by the State of Iowa for 40 years. At the time of her retirement in 2012, she was working with the department of management as an Executive Administrator. After retirement, Marcia and Denny moved to Osage Beach Missouri to enjoy their retirement with friends and relatives at Lake of the Ozarks. Marcia was a member of the Harper Chapel United Methodist Church, the Iowa Reunion Club, Mended Hearts, and was a volunteer at the Lake Regional Hospital. Any community that Marcia lived in over the years she quickly became an active member in church (playing music, singing, volunteering) and community. Marcia was known for her sharp wit and infectious laughter. Marcia always made people feel welcomed. Marcia enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Marcia enjoyed crafts, cooking, hosting friends and family, and card making.

Marcia is survived by her two step daughters, Darci (Guillermo) Hernandez of Marshalltown, Iowa; Andrea Rogers of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; three granddaughters, Eva, Anna, and Elizabeth (Ellie) Hernandez; one grandson, Tavien Rodgers; a sister, Virginia (Gini) Koonce of Bee, Nebraska; a brother, Lindsey German (Belva), of Clarion, Iowa; and nieces, Danielle Shipley (Chris), Laura Koonce (Scott Curtis); nephews, John German (Jenna) and Nick German (Stacey) and great nieces and nephews.

Marcia was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Denny.

A memorial service will be held at the Mitchellville Christian Church, 210 3rd St NW, in Mitchellville, Iowa on Saturday, April 29 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Alice Bolen officiating. Her final resting place will be in the Mitchellville Iowa cemetery.
