Victoria Ann Connett
April 06, 2023
During the early morning hours of Thursday, April 6, 2023, the illness and addiction that had stolen Victoria Connett’s sparkle took her life. She was 34 years old. Her family and friends will remember her for the beautiful light that she was.
Victoria was born September 10, 1988, in Des Moines. She enjoyed family gatherings as she was growing up, loved seeing her cousins, aunts and uncles.
The memory of her bright smile before her addiction will never be forgotten. For the last three years, Victoria had struggled with her addiction to methamphetamine and heroin. Within that, she had lost her children, that she loved very much, because the addiction took over her life. While she was not strong enough to overcome her addiction, she will always be loved and missed by those who knew her. For anyone struggling with addiction there is help to get out of the dark place you are in. You have family and friends that love you and are waiting for you to come back home.
Victoria is survived by her parents, siblings, children, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Victoria.
Condolences may be expressed at www.HamiltonsFuneralHome.com.

It's sad to hear that you're gone.
I will always love you and Ariahna. I wish things would've worked out for us. You will always be in my heart. Anyone know how to reach her parents. I'm the father of Ari. FML.

I am so sorry for your loss. I liked Victoria when she was , I'll say it like this, when she was herself. Am sorry that she's gone but never will be forgotten.
