Debra Kay Crookshank
Deb passed away at home, surrounded by family, on April 8th 2023, at the age of 65.
Deb was born on January 18th, 1958 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, IA, to Marion and Margaret Jameson. She met her husband Jon in middle school, they started dating as seniors in high school. Deb graduated from North High School in Des Moines, class of 1976.
Deb and Jon were married on October 30th, 1976. Soon after, they began to grow their family. She began working for Godfather's Pizza, when their youngest started school. Since then, she worked her way from 'mother's hours' to managing her own store. She spent time managing several stores before becoming the franchise manager. Deb touched many lives in her career from customers to employees. She also spent time serving on the Grimes Chamber of Commerce. Deb was very social and her favorite times were spent with friends and family. Deb was truly one of a kind, she gave it her all in everything she did. Everyone who knew Deb knows this about her.

She was the BEST grandmother to four beautiful young ladies, Jordan (22) and Hailey (19) Neer and Payton (11) and Bailey (8) Crookshank. She was also the favorite of the grand-dogs. She would spoil them as if they were her grandchildren. Deb and Jon's love was unwavering. They loved each other wholeheartedly. Their lifelong love served as a steadfast example for their children. Deb really enjoyed vacationing in tropical locations, she had a love for the beach.
Deb is preceeded in death by her father Marion Jameson (2015). She is survived by her husband Jon, their three children, Stephanie (John) Neer, Angela (Ted) Friedmann, Bradley (Katie) Crookshank. Jon, I am so sorry for your loss. I remember how nice it was to reconnect with Deb at the 42nd St Godfathers when I moved to Beaverdale 22 years ago. I also remember her as a matron of honor at another classmates wedding not long after high school. Its a blessing to hear you had such a beautiful life together. Memories and love will hold you forever!

So sorry to read that Debbie has passed away. She was one classmate that just did not age. Looking at her photograph, I still see the face of that sweet, happy girl that I met way back in grade school. Debbies personality was always youthful and her positivity was infectious. She will be missed in this world.
RIP Debbie.

My only connection to Deb is as a Godfathers customer over the years. Her smile and laugh were contagious and she loved sharing her tropical vacations stories. She always lit up the place and will be greatly missed. Hold all those special memories close.

Despite meeting Deb only briefly on few occasions, her name has been a household phrase in our home since ~ 2007. Simply "Deb" - like "Cher" - no last name necessary! Our sons; Andrew & Jacob Peiffer and nephew, Sean Beckett learned not only the Godfather's ropes, but more importantly - the value of character & hard work. Deb was deeply respected!!! She will be dearly missed. Thinking of your family at this sad time of good-bye.

To Margaret, Jon and Family: So saddened to see that Debbie has passed. My deepest condolences. I do remember baby-sitting the kids many years ago. Was it Debbie that walked in her sleep? Keep your memories close in the days ahead.

WOW! I sit here stunned and thinking this can't be real. Debbie was the BEST. The BEST smile, the BEST laugh and she CARED so much. My most sincere condolences to you Jon and the entire family. I'm on Fort Myers Beach now. From now on when I walk the beach I will always think of Debbie. It must be a January birthday thing that we are drawn to warm beach climates.
