Service Details
Jean Lucille Yungclas, loving mother & friend went to meet the Lord on November 19, 2009 at Karen Acres Nursing Home. She was born in Ottumwa, IA on July 11, 1929 to John & Eula Hancock.
She was a private flute & piano teacher for 50 years and an organist & member of Windsor United Methodist Church for 40 years. Music, family and church were her life.
Jean is survived by her daughter, Ellen “Patty” (Mike) Davis and Grandson, Erik Simmer. She is preceded in death by her parents and son, Richard Yungclas.
There will be a celebration of life service at Windsor United Methodist Church on Sunday, December 13, 2009 at 2:00 PM. Family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed to the Windsor United Methodist Church.

Dear Patty and family,
I am so sorry to read of your mother's passing. She was a talented and dedicated person whose contributions to the world of music will be long appreciated. You may remember me as the guidance counselor at Urbandale Middle School when you were in 8th grade - I visited your home once and met your mother several times. My sincere sympathy goes to you and your family.
