Joan "Jo" Dzioba

Joan "Jo" Kay Dzioba, age 74, of Des Moines, Iowa and formerly of Midland, Michigan and Cody, WY went home to be with the Lord as she passed away suddenly on April 2, 2023.

She was born December 14, 1948 in Bay City, Michigan to Joseph and Martha McMahon.

In November 1989 Jo married the love of her life, Donald Dzioba, in Hawaii. Theirs was a marriage one dreamed of. No one had ever made her happier.

Jo worked for at the Dental Center in Midland for most of her career. She loved working for Dr. Warren and enjoyed the office shenanigans with Arla, Brenda and Michelle.

Jo loved to play Bingo, watch movies, go out to eat, hang out with friends and spend time with her cat Miko. She was a dedicated Elvis fan. She loved animals and over her lifetime she had Golden Retrievers, cats and a horse.

Her greatest love was for her family. Her husband Don, children Wendy, Tricia and Michael. She also dearly loved her 6 grandchildren.

Jo was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Don (November 2016), daughter Tricia (February 2021) and Grandson Jacob Prevost. (August 2011)

Jo is survived by her 2 children, Wendy (Michael) Prevost of Marquette, MI and Michael (Randee) Wirth of Des Moines, IA. Stepson David Dzioba of Frankenmuth MI, and stepdaughter Diane Landers of Wellington Ohio. Grandchildren Matthew Prevost of Auburn Hills, MI, Justin and Ben Dzioba, Tylin Landers, Jared Prevost of Tampa, Florida. Sisters, Beverly McMahon of Florida, Carol (David) Stack of Bay City, MI and Mary (Tim) Turney of Flint.

Memorial services will be held in both Iowa and in Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be directed to a local humane society of choice and to the 700 Club, a show Jo loved watching.
