March 28, 2023
Robin Brown, 70, passed away on March 28, 2023, at MercyOne Medical Center.
Robin was born August 7, 1952, in Des Moines, the daughter of Gerald and Fern (Willard) Seeger. She worked at Principal Financial Group for her entire career. She was the founder and coach of Team Gymnastics Academy for 15 years. She touched the lives of so many children while at the gym. When the gym closed her world became about her grandchildren; attending their sporting events, and spending time with them while their parents worked, but especially enjoyed shopping together. She was a strong, independent woman. She was extremely kind and would do anything for anyone.
Robin is survived by her husband, Kent Miller; daughters, Charity (Rich) Miller and Hillary (Adam) Ferry; grandchildren, Avery, Rhyan, Ty, Azure, and Zayn; step-daughter, Elisa (Joe Welch) Miller; and siblings, Sandra Lee Thornton and Rebecca Seeger.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Robin to be donated to the Chris and Marcie Coleman Bridge (Youth Recreational Scholarship Program) at Gray's Lake in Des Moines.

So glad Robin founded TGA. Our daughter was on the team for years and also got to coach too. It was a great experience made possible by Robin's hard work and inspiration. Our daughter is now in college and Robin would keep checking up on her. She will be missed.

I met Robin 44 years ago when I first started working at Principal. She became a good friend right away and even threw a baby shower for my son. I thought the world of her. As we grew older, I always told her she reminded me of the Maxine character on birthday cards. Crabby, but harmless! LOL. RIP my friend.

I worked with Robin many times through the years at Principal. She was always so willing to answer a question and would find the time to help others. I enjoyed talking and laughing with her. She had a great sense of humor. She spoke often of her family and you could see her pride & love for them. She will be missed.

Robin helped Chloe by welcoming her into the TGA family. Even after Chloe went to the next level in her gymnastics Robin would come to some of her meets. I will always be greatful for the role Robin has played in our lives. Prayers to all of Robin's family.

She was too young to leave her family. God had a plan. I remember her always smiling in high school when I saw her. Very nice person.

Robin was such a kind hearted person always looking out and sympathizing with everyone else. I not only worked with her but she is the one who talked me into enrolling my daughter in gymnastics. It was great to have her part of the TGA family. Robin loved her family dearly. Robin will greatly be missed. I am so sorry for your loss.
