Alice Bergstrom, 96, passed away on March 26, 2023.

Alice was born on July 23, 1926, to Dewey and Marjorie Keeling, in Springer, New Mexico.

She graduated from High School in Wellsville, KS, and then began a course of study at Park College in Kansas City, Missouri. It was there that she met Eldon Bergstrom, a member of the United States Navy.

Alice and Eldon were married in 1945 and enjoyed fifty-six years together. Alice and Eldon had a son, Lee, who is their only child.

Alice was an avid card player and especially enjoyed the game of pinochle. Alice was also fond of singing – she was an alto – and belonged to the Sweet Adelines in Wyoming, and church choirs. Alice was a beloved member of Ankeny Presbyterian Church since 1969, where she not only sang in the choir, but also served as a Deacon. Alice was an animal lover, and almost always had a dog that she adopted from the shelter.

Surviving Alice are her son Lee (Rosie) Bergstrom and grandson Ian Bergstrom.

Services will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., at Ankeny Presbyterian Church, 317 SE Trilein Drive, Ankeny, IA. The family will greet guests from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., at the church prior to services.
