Service Details
Michael McDowell passed away November 18, 2009 at his home in Urbandale. A memorial service will be 2 PM Sunday, November 22, 2009, at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1 PM.
He is survived by his mother, Betty; two sons, Matt and Justin; a companion, Amy Schreck; step children, Amy Young, Eric Odegaard; sisters, Alexa McDowell, Sherry Long; brothers, Joel (Shari), David and Brian McDowell; grandchildren, Lauren, Jacqueline and Caroline McDowell; nieces, Abby Smith, Hannah McDowell, Sophia McDowell and DeeDee Mcdowell. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett and a brother Kevin.

Dear Family, It has been years since I have talked with Mike. I have known Mike since early in Grade school. we use to do lots of thing together as kids. As we progressed through to High school we were still friends. After Graduation we only saw each other a few times. In Later you I have been on the 1963 Class reunion committee. The last 5 to ten years we have been trying to track Mike down. Mike was a great friend during my early years. I just wish I could have spent more time with him over the years. You have my deepest sympathy. He will be missed by many. Mike Mc Anally, Fort Dodge, Ia.

I am so very sorry to hear of Michael passing. Please accept my deepest
sympathy. I work with Michael at Allied/Nationwide Ins. for many years.
He was a really nice guy and we all had a really good time together at
work.
