Naomi Fisher

Naomi Vesta Campbell Fisher was born on February 26, 1943, the youngest of eleven children, to James and Julia Campbell.

She had ten siblings, of which three are still living, sister, Ada Jackson and brothers, Paul Campbell and David Campbell. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Julia Campbell, Sr.; and siblings, John Campbell, James Campbell, Jr., Mary Colbert, Ruth Allen, Martha Weber, Joe Campbell and Rebba Ann Campbell.

Those left to cherish her memory include her former husband, John Anthony Fisher, Sr.; seven children, Julia Louise (Haldy P.) Jackson of IL, John Anthony Fisher , Wanda JoAnn (Michael) Carter, Terry Lee (Terri) Fisher, Clifford Allen (Tammy) Fisher and Deanna Denise (Mike) Richardson, all of Des Moines and Laura Ann (Marty) Harris of Temple, TX; her honorary grandchildren, Debbie Sterling, Rebecca Oakley Shumpert and Forrest Weber, Sr.; endless nieces and nephews; 17 grandchildren, Lamonte Fisher, Misty (Bruce) Fisher, Donald Fisher, Katrina Jackson, Erica Carter, Tyler Fisher, Sierra Willis, Alexis Willis, Seville Harris, Brandon Davis, Ronald Carter, Breonna Carter, Darius Fisher, Dillion Fisher, James Fisher, Jason Fisher and Michael Carter, Jr.; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 21, 2009, at Hamilton's Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
