Beatrice "Bea" Crouch

Beatrice “Bea” Crouch, 81, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines, Iowa.

Bea was born May 31, 1941, in Harrison, Arkansas to Virgil A. and Alice M. (Heimbech) Hall. With the exception of a short time living in Wisconsin, Bea has been a resident of the Des Moines area since 1947.

She graduated from East High School and completed two years of formal education at Des Moines Area Community College. Bea worked for Manpower for many years. She enjoyed her plants, reading, puzzles, crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren and grandpuppies.

She is survived by her children, Allen (Michelle) Crouch, Allison Crouch, and Matt (Cathy) Howard; grandchildren, Taylor Aalbers, Luke Howard, and Austin St. John; grandpuppies, Max and Josie; and many other loving family and friends.

Bea was preceded in death by her son Jason, her parents, sister Doris Flippo, and brother Virgil Hall.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2023, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023, also at the funeral home, and will conclude with burial at Glendale Cemetery.
