Mary M. Swift

Mary M. (Maher) Swift passed away Saturday, November 14th, 2009, surrounded by her children at Mercy Medical Center. Visitation will be held Monday, November 16th, 2009, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at St. John's Catholic Church in Norwalk, Iowa, with a rosary at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:00 am at St John's Catholic Church in Norwalk, Iowa, with burial to follow at St. John's Cemetery in Cumming, IA.

Mary was born August 9th, 1925, to John and Marie Maher. In 1947 she married Cyril Swift and with him raised 6 children. Mary was a member of St. Johns Altar and Rosary Society and the American Legion Auxiliary for 50 years. She loved to read, play cards and cook. She loved spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her daughters: Anna (Domonick) Cimino, Rita Krumbholz, Lisa (Anthony) Scaglione, Sons: Jerry (Debbie), David (Suzanne), Paul (Kayla) Swift all of Norwalk, thirteen grandchildren, 8 great-grand children, one sister (Ella Harkin) as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Cyril, brother, John Maher, and son-in-law, Mark Krumbholz.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Catholic Church in loving memory of Mary.
