Linda Ann Thorson passed away from dementia at Edencrest of Siena Hills in Ankeny, Iowa, on February 28, 2023. Linda was born in Sherman, Texas on March 19, 1941. She retired from Ruan Corporation with 27 years in the data entry area.

She is survived by her husband Bob Thorson, sons James (Connie) Adreon and Dana Adreon, daughter Cinthia Bassett, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Linda is also survived by her stepmother Martha Corbitt, stepbrother Mike (Paula) Madden, and stepsister Theresa Madden, all of Cypress, Texas, and brother James Corbitt of Whitehouse, Texas. In addition, she is survived by sister-in-law Lois (Tom) O’Donnell of Ankeny and brothers-in-law Larry (Erika) Thorson of Houston, Texas, Doug (Jean) Thorson of Maricopa, Arizona and Glen (Donna) Adreon of Pleasant Hill, Iowa. She is preceded in death by her parents Olen and Ann Corbitt, sister Barbara Corbitt, and stepbrother Kenneth Madden.

A visitation will be held at Hamilton’s Funeral Home near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, on Saturday, March 11, from 2:00-4:00 pm. A private family burial will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be sent in her name to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa or the Ankeny Area Historical Society.
