Delmer Lee Friend, 90, passed away at his home February 22, 2023. Per his request, no services are planned.
Delmer was born November 30, 1932 in Braddyville, Iowa to Elmer and Bonnie Friend. He served in the United States Air Force.
Delmer is survived by his wife of 62 years, Judy; children, Melanie (Greg) French, Peggy (Larry) Terrazaas, Randall (Laura) Friend, Mark Friend, Jody (John) Gordon and Cindy Friend; siblings, Neola Perry, Lola Steeve and Violet Williams; 21 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Daniel Paul and Connie Colleen; siblings, Ruth Barcus and Bill Friend; and his daughter-in-law, Melanie Friend.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Veteran’s Administration, Suncrest Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association in loving memory of Delmer.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. He was such a good man. Fond memories of family reunions and get togethers. Always happy and smiling. Reminded me so much of Grandpa Friend.
