Lane Baccam

Lane Baccam, 84, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her house on Friday, February 17, 2023.

Born May 16, 1938, in Sonla, Vietnam. She was the eldest daughter of the late Inh Baccam and Song Thi Lo.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years of marriage, Phoui Chang; one daughter, Amy Chang (Sangbum (David) Kim); 3 sons: John Chang, Pé Chang, and Christian Chang (Sheri Chang); three grandchildren: Hunter Johnson (Katy Johnson), Jackson Chang, and Mena Kim.

Other surviving family members include sister Hue Baccam, brother Faluang Baccam (Souny Baccam), sister Lieng Baccam, brother Khay Nachiengdy (Vanny Deo), brother Savanh Sakounkham (Helga Sakounkham), brother Somsanouk Baccam (Van Baccam), sister Niravone Khounlo (Bounkham Khounlo), brother Mick Baccam (Soukthanome Baccam), brother Southine Baccam (Nay Baccam), and 27 nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 121 NW 60th Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa, 50313.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 22, 2023 from 1 pm until 2 pm at the funeral home.
