Robert James Ogren, age 58, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Kavanagh on 56th in Des Moines.
Robert was born July 24, 1964, in Des Moines, Iowa to Richard V. and Nancy L. (Thompson) Ogren. He worked as a Specialty Ink Technician for Siegwerk Company in Des Moines. He loved his family, friends, dogs, and cats. The Pittsburg Steelers brought him joy and disappointments, but he loved them.
He is survived by his brother, Jeffrey Ogren (wife Elizabeth Ogren) of Minnesota; niece, Hannah Ogren; as well as a host of beloved cousins.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Nancy Ogren.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Robert’s urn will be interred privately at Resthaven Cemetery in West Des Moines in the spring.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in honor of Robert’s love of animals.

Bob was the kindest person we have ever known. Your mother would be so proud of the fight you put up against that terrible disease. We had so many lovely conversations over the years. Glad I had that last one with you about your outlook on life. You will truly be missed. love you cuz!

We were neighbors since 1977. We will miss the visits and friendship, but going to heaven is a blessing after fighting a long battle with cancer. Rest in peace dear friend.
