Rodney Backstrom, 61, went to his Lord on February 6, 2023.

Rodney was born September 6, 1961. Rodney was a heartfelt, helpful, and tender man. He had many friends and relatives that he cherished deeply. Rodney enjoyed life by riding his motorcycle and doing things for others. He proudly served his county in the United States Army.

Rodney is survived by his loving mother, Esther Crowell; his siblings, Becky Backstrom, Sheri (Larry) Krpan, Russell Backstrom, and Vernon (Jody) Backstrom; and many nieces and nephews.

Rodney’s wish was to be cremated and laid to rest at Iowa Veterans Cemetery. Family will have a graveside service at a later date.
