Service Details

Gionni Briquan Richard Dameron was born January 20th, 2005 in Des Moines, Iowa, and was the firstborn of 5 children.

Gionni attended Des Moines Public Schools his whole life and also worked for his dad Gary Dameron Jr and uncle Teonte Smith at their food truck/restaurant What The Fries alongside his best friend Rashad Carr. Gionni was working towards graduating from the Starts Right Here program and was considering attending college and ultimately wanted to pursue a barber career like his father.

Gionni loved his family. He was really close with his father and super overprotective of his mother and his little sisters. They were all his world. He also loved his close friends who in his mind were also family. He was a busybody that was always on the move and didn’t sit still for too long. He had to be somewhere doing something at all times. He loved clothes and shoes like his father and was quick to trade/swap clothes and shoes out with friends so he always had something new he was wearing. He loved making people smile and laugh and was often the bridge between different people who wouldn’t usually deal with each other but did because of him. Gionni loved to cook and thought he was a chef cause he worked on his dad's food truck. Gionni had a personality that lit up every room he stepped in and made everyone gravitate toward him. Everyone knew Gionni and you couldn’t tell him every girl in the city didn’t want him. But most importantly Gionni had a heart of gold. He was a loving person that wanted to make sure everyone around him was ok at all times and was never selfish in his ways.

Gionni Dameron passed on January 23rd, 2023. He was proceeded in death by one of his best friends Josiah Woods and Rashad Carr and his cousin Henry Dameron.

Gionni leaves behind his father, Gary Dameron Jr; mother, Mykala Kemp; sisters, Giselle Dameron, Germani Dameron, Gia Dameron, and Galiyah Dameron. And a long list of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
