Rashad Lavon Carr was born on May 22, 2006, in Des Moines, Iowa to Dominique Carr and Richard Lewis.
Rashad started playing football at the age of 6 years old. He first started playing football for Little All American. As he got older he then started playing for Team Venom and for his middle school and high school.
Rashad was a junior at Lincoln High School and Starts Right Here. He was working hard to graduate high school along with pursuing his music career. He was always in the studio making new music. At home he had his own studio equipment as well. Rashad started rapping when he was 10 years old. He had his first concert performance at the age of 14. If you were at that concert, Rashad was out of breath from jumping around and didn’t even know the words to his own song! LOL
Rashad was employed at What The Fries with his Best Friend Gionni Dameron. Rashad was the oldest out of all his siblings on both sides. He enjoyed playing video games and wrestling with his little brothers. Shad was a loving, respectful, and caring young man. He still was a kid at heart. His sister, RaShya was his partner in crime. Rashad always had Shya do everything for him. She would cook separate meals for him and even did his laundry. Over Jayla he was an overprotective big brother. Shad enjoyed staying at friend’s and family’s houses. He always wanted to go somewhere or at least do something. He loved to travel he was always going places seeing different things.
Rashad’s life was taken at the age of 16. He passed away Monday, January 23, 2023, at Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Lewis and his grandmother, Patty Smith.
Rashad leaves behind his mother, Dominique Carr; his siblings, RaShya Carr, Jalanique Samuels, Jarell Samuels, Cashmere Banks, Davonte Banks, and Damariyah Carr; his siblings on his father side, Richard Lewis III and Nichaud Lewis; his godparents, Tamisha Bekish and Barry Adair; his grandparents, Nicole Sanders, Richard Lewis, and Milton Carr; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Shad I still cant believe it was you you didnt deserve this. 🥹😩😭😢🥺😞☹🙁. You was a great person who would give the shirt off your back. You was a great son, brother, cousin, friend and so much more. Youre in Heaven with your dad I love & miss u so much lil cuz. May you rise again.
