Michele Diane White, 57, passed away on January 24, 2023 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa on June 12, 1965, daughter of Marlin and Betty (Coon) Leonard

Shelli grew up in Des Moines and graduated from North High School in 1983. She specialized in all around badassery. Shelli worked any and all jobs to help support her family. She worked for Wells Fargo for many years and then she became the “go to” person at Ankeny Auto Body (Caliber Collison). Shelli and Ed were married in 1983 and raised their two children in the Des Moines area. Family was everything to Shelli, she loved going to her grandchildren’s events and being there for her family.

Shelli is survived by her children, Joshua (Kaylla) White and Brenna Jo (Callum) Tomlin; grandchildren, Evelyn Rose, Clara, Piper and Meyer; her mother, Betty Leonard; sisters, Denise, Andrea, Erika; former husband, Ed White; many cousins, nieces, nephews, loving family members and many loving friends.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Iowa Food Bank in honor of her passion for this organization.

Services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 12:00pm at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will take place prior to services from 10:00 a.m., until 12:00pm.
