Jeane Lenore (Harrison) Gogerty, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 23, 2023, at her sister’s home in Carlisle.

Jeane was born September 10, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa to Robert B. and Mildred E. (Ridout) Harrison. She graduated from Tech High School in 1967. Jeane attended college in Arizona. She obtained her Associate’s Degree in Business. Jeane worked as a legal secretary for Dorsey & Whitney in Des Moines for over 30 years, retiring in 2005.

Jeane married William “Bill” Gogerty in 1987 in Des Moines. There was one child born to this union – Zachary Gogerty. Jeane enjoyed crocheting, making bead jewelry, playing card games, riding horses, and she had a deep love of cats. Jeane was quick witted and would tell you what was on her mind. Typically she would have the last word.

She is survived by her son, Zachary Gogerty; sister, Mary (Marcel) Dubois; brother, Robert B. Harrison; nephews, Robert Milosevic, Tom Milosevic, Tom Milosevic II, Tom Melosevic III, Marc Dubois, Robert Harrison, Jr., and Richard Acri; and her nieces, Hanna Valenzuela and Wendy Acri.

Jeane was preceded in death by her husband, William “Bill” Gogerty in 2020; parents, Robert and Mildred Harrison; and sister, Barbara Acri.

According to Jeane’s wishes, cremation will occur and there will be no services held at this time.
