Imogene Baldwin

Imogene (Jean) Louise Baldwin, 91 passed away peacefully the morning of Thursday, January 19th, 2023, at her home in her recliner where she wanted to be.

Jean was born on June 10, 1931, in Des Moines, Iowa to Raymond and Etta Stout, where she was a longtime resident before moving to Altoona, Iowa. She graduated from East High School in 1949. She married Donald Paul Baldwin on January 1, 1950. She had two children that they raised on Dean Avenue. She was hardworking, an amazing cook, and loved by all. She was “Grandma” to all the kids who knew her. Enjoying the simple things in life, Jean had a kind soul and huge heart. You could find her in the bleachers of all her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids’ sporting/dancing events.

She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her but most of all her children, Alan (Kayla) Baldwin, Kristine Baldwin; grandchildren, Micheal (Luann) Little, Scott (Mary) Little, Derek Baldwin, Amy Baldwin, Corey (Tara) Little, Tyler Baldwin (Jessica); great grandchildren, Nicholas (Brittany) Little, Zach(Katie) Little, Logan (Madyson) Little, Brooklynn Bagley (Tyler), Brady Little, Reed (Kenna) Little, Raegan Little, Tatum Little, Ashlynn Bagley, Sage Baldwin, and Chloe Little; great great grandchildren Evelyn & Jude Little, Luke & Lane Little, Brooks & Ellowyn Little, Lennon Little and Johnny Guiterrez.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Paul Baldwin, her parents Raymond and Etta Stout, her great great grandchildren Rose Rayna Guiterrez and Jettson Reed Paul Little.

Please join us celebrating her life Friday, January 27, 2023 11:00 a.m. Hamilton’s Funeral Home at 105 4th Street SW, Altoona, Iowa 50009. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
