Jack M. Barnhart

Jackie Matthew Barnhart, 76, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Jack was born August 28, 1946, in Akron, Ohio to Dwayne and Betty Barnhart.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

He loved his family, his friends, and his dogs.

He is survived by his spouse, Sharon Starkes; his children, Christina Barnhart, Joseph (Karen) Barnhart, Trisha Barnhart, Jack Barnhart, Jr., Becky Jo Bordenaro, and Tracy Bess; and several grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Dwayne and Betty Barnhart.

Services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., followed by funeral service at 2:00 p.m.

My condolences to the family. Jack was a good friend. Haven't seen in a while, since I moved to New Mexico. I'll miss him and smile when I think of him.
