Marilyn Maxine Arthurs-Slack

Marilyn Maxine Arthurs-Slack, 91, passed away January 17, 2023 at Wesley Acres. She was born on July 21, 1931 in Aberdeen, SD to Loretta Ruth (Lorenzen) and George Pagel. After high school graduation, Marilyn attended college for a year and began working for Sears as an Audit Clerk.

Marilyn enjoyed crafting, crocheting, word searches and her family.

She is survived by her daughter, DeeAnn McCauley; grandchildren, Andrea Arthurs Muelhaupt, Nathan McCauley, Callie Garoutte, and Daniel Arthurs and; 7 great-grandchildren.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Philip Arthurs and Gail Slack; and her son, Daniel Arthurs.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery, 4400 Merle Hay Road in Des Moines, IA.
