Phillip "Phil" McPhee

Phillip Eugene McPhee, 74, of Des Moines died January 7th, 2023.

Born and raised in Des Moines, the son of Maurice and Genevieve McPhee. He attended Des Moines Technical High School and was a lifelong resident of Des Moines. Phil spent most of his adult life on Des Moines’s southside in his house on the hill. He liked surveying the surroundings from his “North Forty” deck. Phil was a big NASCAR fan and was always up for a political debate. Phil also enjoyed R.C. cars and racing R.C. boats on the ponds at Water Works Park.

Phil was preceded in death by his father Maurice, mother Genevieve, wife Marty, daughter Shauna, brother Walter, and sister Mary.

Phil leaves behind son Doug (Connie), grandson Weston (Leslie), grandson Conner, brother Jim, sister Dorothy and numerous nieces and nephews.
