Reginald "Regie" Jergens

Reginald B. Jergens, 81, passed away on Sunday January 1, 2023, at Cass Health, in Atlantic, Iowa.

Regie was born on October 15, 1941, in Adair, Iowa. He was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in rural Adair on November 9, 1941. He attended Adair-Casey High School playing baseball, a member of the FFA and the AC Letter Club and graduated in 1959.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge Chapter 2589 since 2008. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, slow pitch softball and playing pool. In his later years you could find him at the casino playing slots or watching NASCAR and Football at the Moose Lodge.

Regie is survived by his children Darla (Chris) Jensen, Regina (David) Hayes, Scott Jergens, Donna (Dean) Schueman, Amy (Coy) Smith; 5 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildren; Sister Suzanne (Bob) Graveline; Nephew Sean (Heather) Graveline; and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 19 years Jennifer; his parents John and Thelma Jergens; and his nephew Chris Graveline.

Services will be at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., in Des Moines on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m., with an 11 a.m. service to follow. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
