Jody Shepard, 65, passed away at her home on January 2, 2023.
Jody was born June 20, 1957 in Des Moines. She enjoyed animals and music. Jody simply loved life in general.
Jody is survived by her children, Eric White (Melissa) and Angie Shepard (Jeremy Reiher); grandchildren, Caroline and Dalton White; sister, Jan Thompson; and her friend, George Lytle.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Smith; father, Bill Smith; and her sister, Jill Long.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 12 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Furry Friends in loving memory of Jody.

I only met her once and thought she was a lovely lady. She made my brother so happy. I wish we could have become friends. Rest in peace young lady. We will meet again

I worked with Jody at Casey's back in 2012.
She was a hard worker and very nice person.
