Alice, you have my sincere sympathy! Jerry was one of the first veterans I met when I was appointed Executive Director of Iowa Department of VA! I have so many memories of the discussions we had in regards to VA benefits, our service in the Air Force and our times in Vietnam. I served two tours in Vietnam as well and a flight engineer on the C47s for one tour. Then when I started to build and open the the Iowa Veterans Cemetery again we had many more discussions. He was a true friend!

A life well lived. I've always proud to call you my Great Uncle!
Many fond memories growing up. Little things that I didn't think about in the moment, but they're special and they hold a special place in my heart now!
Give Grandpa a big hug for me!
Until we meet again, rest easy!

Jerry was a true friend to several veterans, to the Military Order of the Purple Heart and its Auxiliary. He was my mentor in the Purple Heart and I learn alot from my friend Jerry L Meek and his wonderful spouse Alice. May he have eternal peace along with the other departed US Veterans.

Will miss Jerry. He always made me feel validated. He had a way to show that you mattered in the greater scheme of things. Alice has been a great supporter to my Uncle. Clearly she is a very strong woman. A patriot will be missed. RIP
