Sene Lothi

We honor the life of a loving mom and a caring grandmother. She dedicated her life to family and making sure we were supported in whatever we did and that we never felt anything but loved. She sacrificed more than we’ll ever know.

Sene Lothi, 87, of Des Moines, IA sadly left us on Tuesday, January 3rd, 2023. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Born in Laos, Sene and her family migrated to Des Moines in 1986. She was a homemaker, doing everything she could for the family without complaining, despite the challenges she faced.

Sene is survived by her 9 children: Soun Phommavong, Youn (Kham) Phommaxaysy, Ouan (Sone) Souriyathay, Nam (Kongchai) Lovan, Matthew Souane Lovan, Ha (Mani) Lovan, Chanh Sisamouth, Annie (Valy) Amphonephong, Somvanh Mike (Bethdy) Lovan, 22 grandchildren, and 28 great grandchildren.

A funeral service is scheduled for Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at 2:00 pm, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home (121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines, IA 50313). Please join us as we come together to say our final farewell.
