Gary Selover

Gary Keith Selover (Buck), 59, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday December 21, 2022. Gary graduated from East High School in 1981. He worked at Super Valu Warehouse and then for the City of Des Moines in the public works department for 28 years.

Gary enjoyed spending time at his family’s farm, where he enjoyed four wheeling, gardening and taking care of fruit trees. He maintained many trails throughout the woods.

Gary is survived by brother Mike (Lisa) Selover and daughter Ashley (Rick) and thier family, sister Sally Selover and her daughters, Jaime and her daughter, Jessame (Caleb) and their family, and favorite niece Jenne Reedholm and her family. Mother Shirley Selover and Bill Foster and Bill’s family, Andy (Jenie) Foster his children and their families, the children of Kathy Albaugh and their families, Jenny (Casey) Brookshire and their son, and Frank (Shelly) Foster their children and their families.

Gary was proceeded in death by his father Larry Selover, paternal grandparents Forrest and Madelyn Selover, maternal grandparents Raymond and Shirley Nittler, and step-sister Kathy (Foster) Albaugh.

As Gary wished, no public service is planned. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Gary to the Animal Rescue League of Iowa
