Heath Rein Authier
December 15, 2022
Heath Rein Authier, was born in Des Moines on July 17, 1982 to Rein Authier and Val (Authier) Van Helten and went home to be with the Lord in the early morning hours of December 15, 2022, at his parent’s home near Runnells.
Heath graduated from Pleasantville High School in 2001 and spent one year at Iowa State University. He was married to Tiffany (Daggett) Authier on October 29, 2021.
Heath loved driving 18 wheelers all over the US. He has been driving over the road since he was 22, hauling livestock, reefer, and currently had his HazMat to haul fuel. He made lots of longtime friends in the trucking community. Heath would drive 100’s of miles out of his way to help a fellow trucker. Even when money was tight he never thought twice about helping out a brother in need. He loved his family and being a daddy to his beautiful children, and loved Christ most of all. Heath became a baptized member of Rising Sun Church of Christ on September 17, 2022.
Heath is survived by his parents, Val (Bud Ingle) Van Helten, and Rein (Gretchen) Authier; wife, Tiffany Authier; 3 children, Hesten, Allison, and Axle Authier; and 3 step children, Ryan, Lilly, and Hudson; brother, Cody (Melissa) Authier; 3 nephews, Jett, Gage, and Trevan; God parents, Duane and Ellen Van Wyk.
Family and friends will miss his blue eyes and infectious smile. His children will miss all those rides in the truck while being daddy’s wing man and asking “how much farther”?
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2022 at Rising Sun Church of Christ, 6390 NE Rising Sun Dr, in Pleasant Hill. The family will greet friends at the church from 9 a.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to help cover funeral expenses.
