Stephenie Fallis

Stephenie (Sis) Jeanne Fallis, 66, of Mitchellville passed away peacefully with her daughter at her side on December 8, 2022, after her three-year battle with cancer. She kept her stubborn and spunky personality until the very end.

Stephenie was born to Fred and Dixie (Griswold) Fallis on September 27, 1956 in Des Moines, Iowa. She spent the majority of her life bartending, allowing her to develop so many cherished friendships. She’ll be remembered for making the best bloody mary around. Stephenie had a passion for horticulture and photography. She spent many years entering her photography at the Iowa State Fair, which she would attend almost daily. She loved to travel to the Mississippi River and northeast Iowa in the fall to see the leaves changing colors. Her proudest accomplishment was being a mom and grandma.

Stephenie is survived by her son Leon (Carrie) Nobles and her daughter Chelsea (Jaime) Zamaniego; her twelve grandchildren: Brandon, Draven, Elisia, Leon, Jordin, Drake, Faye, Jaime, Adrian, Skye, Gwyn and Felix; her soon to be born great granddaughter; brothers Scott Fallis and Brooks Norlin; sister Theresa Schmidt; her niece and nephews, and long-time friends Sherry Murphy and Davey Pauls.

Stephenie was preceded in death by her brother Steven (Curt) Fallis, her cousin Jesse (Gene) Fallis, her parents Fred and Dixie; and her grandparents.
