Talencia Stubbs, 57, passed away December 10, 2022 at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.
Talencia was born November 4, 1965 in Iowa City to Herndon and Gwendolyn (Brewer) Stubbs. She graduated from Ames High School. Talencia was part of Mainstream Living of Story County for 24 years performing clerical duties and later she worked for Danfoss, a job she thoroughly enjoyed.
Talencia loved bowling and traveling. She especially loved to travel with Special Journeys. She enjoyed being a part of the Special Olympics and also Acktion Club. Talencia loved to cook, muffins were her specialty.
Talencia is survived by her sister, Tavonne Botts; nephew, Billy F. Botts III; niece, Allison Ellis; grand-nephew, Billy F. Botts IV; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grand-nephews, Wesley E. Botts and Jaylen R. Williams.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Elm Grove Cemetery in Des Moines.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Mainstream Living of Story County, 2012 E. 13th Street, Ames, Iowa in loving memory of Talencia.

What can I say about Tal that hasnt already been said? She was a valued member of the Cyclone Country Aktion Club and will be greatly missed by our members as her friendly and outgoing personality livened up many of our meetings and service projects, especially our twice-yearly food drives.
The officers, members and advisors of CCAC send our condolences to all of Tals family and friends during this difficult time.
