Phillip Power

Phillip Power, 76, passed away on December 1, 2022 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on August 14, 1946, son of Millard and Ruth (Fisher) Power.

Phil graduated from Des Moines Tech High School in 1965, he started working immediately after graduation. Phil retired from Quality Manufacturing after 30 years of service. He was a wonderful husband and was married to Mary for 23 years. He was a very compassionate man and was a great father to his two daughters, Whitney and Taylor and his step sons, Eric and Aaron looked up to him as their own father.

Phillip loved NASCAR. He had the mind of an engineer, always teaching new things and he taught his daughters everything. He was very proud of his daughters and who they became.

Phillip is survived by his wife, Mary; step children, Eric and Aaron; daughters, Whitney and Taylor; 7 grandchildren and brother, Gary (Linda) Power. He is preceded in death by his step son, Bradley and his parents.

Mary, Eric, Aaron and family I am verry sorry for your loss, I remember all the times i met Phill from when Eric and i were roomates . And whenever i would run into him . He will be missed but not forgotten prayers and sympathies

We are both very saddened by the loss of Phil. He was a wonderful person to reminisce with the holidays since thats about the only time we saw him. We were very thankful that we got to spend that time with him and your family since we didnt have anyone to spend ours with. He will be greatly missed. So glad we got to know him.
