Roy Earl Wendt was born March 27, 1940 in Lucerne, MO to William and Lucy Wendt. He passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at his home in Des Moines at the age of 82.

Earl was a Missouri boy until the end. He enjoyed coon hunting and mule riding. He retired from Younkers distribution as a truck driver and warehouseman after 43 years, and he was the head negotiator for the Teamsters Union, local chapter.

He is survived by his daughters, Debra Corbett (Tim), Patty Wendt, and Lori Perryman (Ed); their mother, Phyllis Wendt; and his beloved dog, Cricket. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Justin Dressic, Christa Dressic, and Eddie Perryman IV; great-grandchildren, Taniyah Dressic, Dominic Dressic, and Anthony Dressic; and his sister, Darcy Bollenbaugh.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lucy Wendt; sister, Shirley Lendt; and grandchild, Baby Perryman.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Ravanna Cemetery in Ravanna, MO.
