Diana Lyn "Lynnie" Reichart Boyd

Diana Lyn Reichart Boyd, 69, known to her immediate family and friends as Lynnie, passed away on November 24, 2022, at Kavanagh on 56th in Des Moines. She was born on March 8, 1953, to Phillip and Ida Bell Reichart.

Diana graduated from Indianola High School in 1971 and went on to take computer courses at DMACC. Her and husband Gerald G. Boyd were married in 1992 but had met in 1974. She worked for her parents for 3 years doing Amway and spent 41 years at IMT Insurance Company. Diana considered her co-workers family and thought they were wonderful people. She wishes them well.

Diana enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, and watching the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs, as well as all the Iowa college teams.

Diana is survived by her husband, Gerald G. Boyd "Gerry"; 47 nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; brothers, Johnnie and Jo An Reichart, Phillip and Pamela Reichart; sisters, Phyllis and brother-in-law, John Carey, Donna Coffin and Kelly Hart; step-children, Mark and Peggy Boyd, Michael Boyd, Matthew and Chastity Boyd.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip M. Reichart and Ida Bell McKeever Reichart; sister, Kathye L. Gentry; 3 great-nieces, Patyn Reichart, Lily Reichart and Hope Reichart; 24 aunts and uncles; grandparents; and 2 brothers-in-law, Ronnie Pettyjohn and Steve Coffin.

Services will be held at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave., Des Moines. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2022 with a 10 a.m. funeral on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Mausoleum.
