Delores Farrel Moore
November 21, 2022
Delores Farrel Moore, 83, passed away November 21, 2022. Services will be held Monday, November 28, 2022 (Delores’ Birthday) at 12:00 noon at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway in West Des Moines, IA with visitation two hours prior. The service will also honor her husband, Ernest who died in 2020 during COVID.
Delores was united in marriage to Ernest Moore on September 25, 1954 at a ceremony in Hannibal, MO and the couple was blessed with 64 years of marriage.
Delores worked as a nurse’s aide at various care centers, was a bus attendant for the Des Moines Public Schools, worked for Deluxe Check Printing, but first and foremost was a homemaker for her beloved family.
A woman of great faith, Delores would often handwrite her prayers and studied her Bible daily. Though life was not always kind to Delores, she was a pillar of strength and her faith never wavered. She was a gifted storyteller and shared her life experiences with her grandchildren, friends and family. Delores was a woman of great dignity which she passed to future generations.
Delores loved to prepare meals for her family. Her home was always open and welcoming to friends and family and was filled with the sound of her laughter. She was devoted to her family and talked with her daughter every day on the telephone. Her grandchildren were everything to her.
She will be greatly missed by her children, Toni Moore, Kenneth Moore, and Bryon (Cheryl) Moore; her grandchildren, Kendra, Monique, Katreena, Kenneth Jr., Tiffany, Joseph, Natalie, and Samantha; and many great-grandchildren.
Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Moore with whom she had been praying to be reunited with; her children, Bruce and Ernest Moore Jr.; two brothers; and a sister.

So sorry for the loss of Aunt Delores. She was so blessed and always a willing worker. I know this is not really a loss for her because she knew one day she would get to go home to be with our Lord. She will be missed in the Moore Family. May God Bless You All. Cousin Rhonda
