Wade Alan Clark

Service Details

Wade was the youngest of four boys born to Edward and Margarite Clark in Moline, IL on June 21, 1970. As one can imagine, there was never a dull moment with four boys in the equation. Wrestling, pranks, and “borrowed “clothes are just a few of the memories. If the walls could speak - we’d have colorful stories galore.

Wade or “Wado” as we lovingly called him, had a huge heart for family and friends. He was kind, compassionate and funny… with a twist of ornery and stubborn just to keep things interesting.

Over the years the brothers, Wes, Wayne, Wyatt, Wade, and Wyatt’s son Matt, occasionally worked together which created a unique bond. Wade’s attention to detail in painting and carpentry was inherent and appreciated. He would make conversation with customers and strangers everywhere he went because of his curious nature. Wade knew no strangers.

Wade had a very creative way of looking at life. One of his unique hobbies was turning roadside trinkets into his treasures. He was resourceful in many ways and found enjoyment in the hunt.

He always had a soft spot for animals, especially cats. He inevitably found a few to rescue and care for. His unselfish nature often had him worrying about others and animals before caring for himself. He was such a thoughtful soul. People mattered more than things and his character touched us all.

Wade passed on November 10, 2022 and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Anna Clark and Ernest and Ethel Becka; his parents, Edward and Margarite Clark; and his brother, Wayne Clark.

His survivors include brothers, Wes (Chelle) Clark and Wyatt Clark; nephews and nieces, Matt, Keaton, Gabby, Cidny, Blake, and Skyler; great-nephew, Andrew; and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Joppa or Celebrate Recovery

A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street in Des Moines, IA 50309.
