Richard Boozell

Richard (Rick) L. Boozell, 72, dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandpa, passed away at home on November 12, 2022, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born November 15, 1949, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Gerald and Patricia Boozell.

Rick was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and worked as an electrostatic painter for Taylor Industries for over 15 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed hunting deer, fishing, mushroom hunting, boating, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He married the love of his life, Norma, on February 8, 1969. Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald and Patricia, brother, Harold, and in-laws, William and Darlene Newlin. Rick is survived by his wife, Norma; children, Monica (Mark), Tina (Ben), and Rick (Kathy); 7 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

No formal services are planned at this time.
