Susan (Sue) was born September 6th, 1948 to Kenneth and Jean (Gray) Wilson. In 1969, she married Dennis Johnson and together they had two children: Chad and Tonja. While that marriage ended, she met the love of her life Robert (Rob) Coffey and they married on July 2nd, 1988. During their 34 years of marriage, they lived in both Indianola and Norwalk.
Sue worked for Integer Group in Des Moines for 25+ years until she retired in April 2020. In her free time, Sue could be found going to her grandson Gavin’s activities, working on her flower beds, sewing, or making calendars which was a family tradition. Each year she loved her trip to Green Bay to visit her sisters. Her many trips to visit family over many years made her a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan.
Sue is survived by her husband of 34 years, Rob, her daughter Tonja (David) Pardun of Polk City, Troy (Jennifer) Coffey of New Virginia, and Tawnya (Richard) Swiger of Bondurant. Grandchildren Cassandra Johnson (Nate Owens) of Ankeny, Jennifer (Brandon) Clemons of Carlisle, Joseph Johnson and Andrew Johnson, both of Indianola, Scott Pardun of Ankeny, Sydney and Gavin Pardun of Polk City, Cody Edgington of Indianola and Cole Edgington of Ames, Emily (Austin) Dermody of Indianola and Paige (Jeremy) Shannon of New Virginia; sisters Linda (Jim) Heider and Jo Vanden Hoogen both of Green Bay, Chris Zimonick of Lakeville, MN and brother Jim (Joyce) Wilson of Waubeka, WI. In addition, she has seven great-grandchildren: Wesley and Amelia Owens, Matthew Eoriatti, Natalie and Jacqueline Clemons, and CJ and Cayden Dermody. She also is survived by many nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her son Chad Johnson, parents Ken Wilson and Jean Hebel, in-laws Bob and Jeanette Coffey, sister Kathy Wilson, and brother-in-laws Paul Zimonick and Mike Vanden Hoogen.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Susan.
We ask that if anyone would like to wear Green Bay Packers or green and gold in memory of Sue feel free. She would love it.

So sad to hear this news. Sue was always so kind and helpful when I worked with her at Integer. And she was inspiration to me when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. My thoughts are with her family.

Please know our thoughts are with you, Sue's family. I'm out of town but know my memories of Sue will be front and center as you gather to celebrate her. At our best we were a family at Integer and Sue was always a grounding force for us. For me personally, earning laugh from Sue was priceless.
